Jesus Rivera

Jesus Rivera is a Waco, TX based multidisciplinary artist whose career spans poetry, graphic and media arts, theatre, music, and visual arts including ceramics, collage, painting, sculpture, and large-scale murals. A fascination with color, light, and form began in childhood and developed into formal training at institutions such as the Glassell School of Art in Houston, Escuela Estatal de Arte in San Luis Potosí, the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, Escuela Massana in Barcelona, and the Istituto d’Arte di Firenze / Istituto del Giglio in Florence, Italy. He has performed as an actor in television and theatre, composed music, and taught as a cultural instructor while maintaining a prolific studio and exhibition career. Rivera’s work has been shown in Mexico, Italy, and across the United States, including the Texas State Capitol, Casa de las Artes del Estado de Coahuila, and the Teatro de la Ciudad de México; in September 2024, he was invited to exhibit at the Palazzo del Governo in Florence, Italy. A celebrated teaching artist and storyteller, he continues to integrate his diverse talents into community projects and international exhibitions, creating art that bridges cultures and disciplines.

Anastasia Sergeevna

Anastasia Sergeevna is a celebrated artist and muralist, originally from Crimea and raised in Moscow, who emigrated to Mexico as a child and is currently based in Toluca. Blending classical painting techniques with contemporary realism, she creates dreamlike works full of light, movement, and meaning. In addition to leading major cultural institutions in Mexico—including the Museo-Galería Arte Mexiquense Torres Bicentenario and the Cosmovitral Jardín Botánico in Toluca—she has exhibited widely, taught workshops, and built an international following through her vibrant studio practice. Her artistic range spans easel paintings, murals, sculpture, and mixed media, and she has participated in Mexico’s “Guerra del Arte” movement, painting striking large-scale works on luxury vehicles. Today she devotes herself full-time to her creative practice, continuing to shape community projects such as the South Waco Hispanic Heritage Mural and producing evocative works that connect ancestral vision with contemporary experience.
